Set the volume so the background sound feels comfortable. You do not need to raise it until you can hear every affirmation.
There is no universal “correct” percentage. The same setting can sound very different on different phones, speakers and headphones.
Set the volume in the place you'll listen
- Start low and play the track.
- Adjust until the background is comfortable for your activity.
- Check again if you change headphones, move rooms or switch to a different recording.
If the sound distracts you, lower it or pause. You do not need to finish a session.
Playback volume and the mix are different
A track's creator sets the level of the affirmations relative to the background. Your phone's volume control turns the finished recording up or down together.
Turning it up does not give you independent control of the voices. It also does not establish that the track is more effective. If you want to know what the affirmations say, read the script rather than trying to uncover them by increasing the volume.
What if I can hear the words?
That depends on the mix and your listening setup. Some recordings leave a faint voice audible; others mask it more fully. Neither is a measure of the result you should expect.
In Sublimind, the affirmations are mixed quietly beneath the background. You can read each library track's script in the app. For your own audio, review the voice recording before masking it.
Listening at bedtime
Use a background you find unobtrusive and set a sleep timer if you want playback to stop. If it keeps you awake, turn it off. There is no need to leave a track running all night.
See headphones or speakers for choosing a listening setup.
